IMDB is an Internet-based movie database that is actually the oldest and largest of its kind.
The platform was founded by Col Needham in 1990 and the database contains approximately 3.5 million films, television series and other television programs. The focus is on English-language films, but foreign films are also included in the database. IMDB maintains a list of the 250 highest rated movies, “Top rated movies,” based on user and other visitor ratings.

The film takes place in 1945–1955 and is about the Italian-American mafia family Corleone. The lead role, the godfather Don Vito Corleone, is played by Marlon Brando, who also received the above award for the best male lead role. On IMDB, the film has been rated 9.2 / 10 stars.

3. Godfather Part II

“Godfather Part II” is an independent continuation of “Godfather”. This film is also directed by Francis Ford Coppola and had its premiere two years after the original film, in 1974. The lead role has here been adopted by Robert De Niro and the film is about the early fate of the Italian-American mafia family Corleone.
At the Oscars gala in 1975, the film won six Academy Awards of a total of eleven possible nominations, including for best film and best direction. In addition, it has won both the Golden Globe and BAFTA. He also lived in Sicily for three months to learn the dialect.

The fifth best film according to IMDB is 12 angry men from 1957. This is an American drama film directed by Sidney Lumet. The film is about a 12-person jury in crisis. The drama was based on a 1954 television play of the same name. In the lead roles, we can see Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, Ed Beglet, E.G Marshall, Edward Binns, John Fiedler, Martin Balsam, Jack Klugman, and Jack Warden.

6.Schindler’s List

Schindler’s List is a 20th-century historical drama film from the United States and ranks sixth among the best films according to IMBD. The film came in 1993 and is directed by Steven Spielberg, but written by Steven Zaillian. The story revolves around a German businessman named Oskar Schindler. By letting them work in their factories, Schindler manages to save almost 1,200 Jews from the Holocaust. Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley, Ralph Fiennes, and Amon Göth hold the lead roles.

7. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

On the seventh place, we find the Legend of the King’s return – the closing part of the Lord of the Ring trilogy. The film was released in 2003 and directed by Peter Jackson. It is about the final stages of the War of the Ring, where Sauron tries to conquer Midgård one last time. It’s up to Gandalf and Aragorn to fight back.
